Curry Pea Vada (Kadala Vada) Recipe - Yummy Gallery

Introduction:

Curry peas vada is a popular and delicious snack and a perfect tea-time snack for Malayalee. it is a deep-fried savory dish made from a batter consisting of soaked and ground chickpeas (chana dal) mixed with various spices and herbs. Chickpea vada is a favorite street food and is often enjoyed with a cup of a hot tea or served as an appetizer during festive occasions and gatherings.

The process of making curry peas vada involves soaking the peas in water for a few hours, which helps soften the peas and makes them easier to grind. The soaked peas are then drained and ground to a coarse paste, incorporating ingredients such as ginger, green chilies, onions, and aromatic spices like cumin and coriander. This flavorful mixture is shaped into small, round patties or flattened discs and deep-fried until golden brown and crispy.
